I'm so jaded, baby I'm afraid of you

Done with this whole business of wearing a girdle before putting on a tight bodycon dress. It's not easy, 'cause admittedly I'm not the most self-assured person, but I'm just going to do my best to come as I am.

Row row row your boat, gently down the stream

merrily merrily merrily merrily, life is but a dream

Seven dates for me to sell machines and tear on

Who prays for the salvation of the devil?

No one.

What happens in Yishun, stays in Yishun

Do you remember watchmaker? The city you built on a back of a swallow, and how it flew a thousand miles south? Have you forgotten, the city with the bright neon lights, glittering glass facade skyscrapers and supermalls. The one you named hope. The one you promised everyone that someday we, and our children would grow up to be movie stars, millionaires, doctors, bankers, lawyers?

Well, this little swallow flew all the way to the ends of the earth to find you again. And when she did, you burned her city right into the ground.

Here on the nineteenth floor, the neon lights make me cum

"Your generation can't take hardship. But us? We work ourselves to the bone, for what? To give our children a roof over their heads, enough food to eat, an education. But to them, it's not enough. They want to go overseas to study, they want ipads and iphones, they want a car, yet they don't see how much we put ourselves through for them." - Masseuse #305

Work harder silly girl. Grow a backbone, don't ever think of the easy way out. It's difficult, but you've got to try to be the best you can be.

People may doubt you, but you must never doubt yourself.

"My sister, do not be sad or worried about the future. You are my sister, so that makes you damn pro. Someday you will marry Li Ka Shing's grandson and together we will absorb Cheung Kong Holdings! Or at most, we just raise money and build a hotel/spa at balestier called Koh Family Prostitution and Sexual Healing! Hahaha!"

I love you my hope.

Everything is illuminated

You're literate, you're able, if you want something, go out and work for it.

How much can you take kid? You've come a long way from the bad hair and braces, hawking sex toys to gay men and running as a freeter pulling it thrice a week. Does it really taste better? 100 dollar Bak Kut Teh over the city skyline, fresh-as-death sashimi platters in a 8 capacity diners, burnin' it fast love, faster cars and free-flow champagne.

But is this what you really want? When the music plays, you know you sold out. Have you forgotten your youth? Your right to be irresponsible, to reject a world that's trying to make you somebody you're not - your right to run free, dream speed smoke bubbles, blow kisses at KTV girls (all of you have my heart), start a riot at a lan shop, and be spend idle days looking into the water, day-dreaming of catfish and silver sharks.

You're not that strong kid. When you get cut, you still bleed, and although you keep moving forward, a part of you remains completely vulnerable. You say pain is temporary, glory is eternal...but don't forget, with time, all glory is fleeting.

What say you kid?
Sell out and grow up, or grow up and sell out?

Another day, just breathe.

In transit ; flashing lights lights lights

To become whole - you've got to turndown a student loan, cut half your lifetime's worth of mortgage payments, buy yourself critical coverage insurance for yourself and your baby brother and sister, and get paper.

You're bleeding but keep on fighting kid, hope still exists.

And hope is the little stretch that runs from The Basement to The Arcade, and the folks there who mint you princess.
